It works for me! August 29, 2010 Steven G. Procopus (Schaumburg, IL USA) Fun and easy to use. Get a fair cardio workout. Setup takes a little time, but that was to be expected. No problems so far.
Great Price, Great for exercise, Great space saver August 29, 2010 JeffB I tried the Gazelle Edge at a friends home, and immediately had to have 1. It's a great exercise machine for a great price. I had wanted an elliptical machine for a while, but didn't get 1 because I live in a 2 bedroom condo and didn't have an extra room to dedicate to exercise equipment. With the Gazelle Edge I can do a great cardio workout, easily fold it up, and put it away in the closet. The delivery was quick, and the set up was easy.
Not too bad at all! August 24, 2010 Exit 82 (Toms River, NJ) Some of the reviews on the Gazelle crack me up! People- it is what it is- meaning- this is not for some hard core gym rat- it's for us ladies who feel guilty sitting on our butts watching Rachel Ray and The View when we should be doing something productive. This -to me anyhoo-qualifies as something productive- meaning- it's better than nothing. Actually much better. I got mine at a yardsale for 20 bucks- I see at least 3-4 a week -you can also find them on your local Craigslist or even Ebay for local pickup only- just search under closest location to your home. If I had too- I would even buy it on Amazon or Walmart for the going rate. I gave up on my treadmill because it was too loud to hear the TV over and who wants to "waste" a half hour or so walking to nowhere? This is lightweight- sturdy and easy to use. I get on it for an energy boost every few hours or so when taking a break from my daily routine I figure any increase in fitness is a bonus!
Great for fibromyalgia and other chronic pain illnesses August 18, 2010 BeenThere (USA) This is a perfect workout for FM and other chornic pain sufferers. I have lost weight and gained energy and stamina without suffering for days afterwards.
reliable, good for price July 30, 2010 Christine I just purchased my 3rd Gazelle Edge. Frustrated with breaking other cheap exercise equipment (bicycles, stair steppers, jogging trampolines) within a few months, I chose the Gazelle because there are few parts to break. I had the last one for 8 years until the axle broke. I have found that SuperLube and spray lubricants break down quickly and need re-applying every month or so, but some nasty-smelling grease intended for autos (I'm guessing it is "axle grease" but I'm not sure) works almost indefinitely. With one machine, I ruined the metal loops at the ends of the cables by not keeping them properly lubed, but Fitness Quest sent me some free replacement cables. Overall, I haven't found other exercise equipment in the $100 range that is anywhere near this durable. It might break faster for a heavier person, though (I'm about 115 pounds). And the movement feels very natural, a lot like an elliptical machine. And it is light enough for a woman to carry around the house and up stairs.
